How It’s Made – From Quarry to Room

Origin

Our translucent stone slabs are quarried in various parts of the world, initially as massive blocks that are then cut on site. Most special stone types — such as green, pink/beige, and honey onyx — come from the Middle East, including Iran and Afghanistan. Patagonian quartz, the hardest and most crystalline form of granite, comes from South America — Argentina and Chile. The brilliantly blue crystalline marbles originate from India.
Our company maintains business relations with a major quarry enterprise responsible for much of Middle Eastern stone extraction. For large orders exceeding our stock, we personally travel to the extraction site to select the slabs.

Pattern

The diverse colors and crystalline structures are nature’s wonders, but processing also influences the final pattern. Most stones (onyx, marble) develop in layered structures over millions of years. Cutting the stone block perpendicular or parallel to these layers produces distinctly different patterns, even within the same stone type.

Planning and Surveying

If one of the slabs in our stock has caught your attention, don’t hesitate to contact us! After clarifying a few questions, we’ll arrange an appointment for you to personally view and select your stone. Our showroom and processing facility are located in Pákozd, near Lake Velence. During selection, you can also choose the precise LED backlighting brightness and color temperature that best complements the stone.
We welcome customers with or without existing interior design plans. Upon request, we can also create visual plans for stone placement.
The design and structural compliance of steel brackets and other support elements required for installation are always ensured.
After the stone is chosen, we conduct an on-site measurement for installation.

Processing

All stone slabs are stored in dry, covered spaces. After the proper slab is selected and the installation details are finalized, processing takes center stage.
In our own facility, we perform all cutting, edge mitering, polishing, and necessary bonding with our own machines. We take pride in having developed a proprietary technology that strengthens and enhances the resistance of 17–21 mm thick stone slabs!

Installation

Our team transports the finished elements to the installation site. The product is mounted in front of the pre-installed stainless-steel brackets and LED backlighting.
We preassemble the LED backlighting on metal panels to minimize on-site electrical work.
All that’s left is to enjoy the finished masterpiece — a natural treasure that will adorn the space for decades to come.
